These doldiers are not US citizens and hold no ties to America other than a paycheck. If the government sent them into fight the local government who wants to seced from the union it would be up to your local guard and police to stop them. They will not telegraph you that they are coming. They will just show up and take over. They have been training for years around some Texas towns on how to do just that. So be forewarned as to what is in the cards. Can America beat the Federal Government? Yes but only if the majority of the States stick together and can achieve support from our military.
A friend from Texas

Re: The many benefits of secession

I made the comment to my friends at Dixie Republic in Traveler's Rest that perhaps it would be much simpler to induce a liberty loving county to seceed from a state, and by extension they would logically be seceeding from the suicide pact now known as "the union."

Re: What in the Hell is Wrong with You?

Mr Miller expressed my thoughts 100% We must seperate ourselves from the federal beast.

Re: Federal Reserve notes down, real money up

The funny thing is that no matter what the gold price reaches, the statists on both sides (R and D) just say "Oh well the price of gold fluctuates, it is going to fall out of this bubble any time now."

Uh, no. They've been saying that since gold was $400, $500, $600.... and so on. It's now freaking $1400 an ounce and only going higher! You would think this one thing alone would wake people up to the criminal US government, but apparently not.

Re: The many benefits of secession

Secession is just fine with me. In fact, there's a new book out about a small town in American where the citizens withdraw from the union & ends up starting the 2nd American Revolution. It's a must read along the lines of this article cause it's so real.

I recommend it cause it's 'trifles' that start these causes as the case of bread in France, tea tax in America. It's a great read.
www.booksbyoliver.com

Re: The Minnesota-South Carolina secession connection

You're right on the money Kallan. Independence simply means we are not serfs, we are sovereigns. It means that we have the right to make the laws that govern us. If Minnesota and South Carolina weren't part of the USA, we could still be friends, allies, and trade partners, we would just have different laws based on our regional and cultural differences. I don't understand what is so negative about this, but apparently a lot of people hate the idea that people should be free from slavery to the federal government.

Re: The Minnesota-South Carolina secession connection

I'm a Minnesota native and love my state dearly, I find the idea of independence very interesting. For me it's not a conservative or liberal issue, my idea of independence would be more like that of Thomas Jefferson's with state sovereignty but still connections to other states. It's also interesting that just the word secession has such negative connotations. I'm interested to hear what others have to say about this.

Re: What ever happened to our language?

I have come to have a renewed appreciation for George Carlin after watching some of his talks on YouTube. We allow too much of our wealth to flow out of our state in the stealth tax that is in effect what the devaluation of the Dollar has been by the doubling of the Money Supply over the past 2 years. All South Carolinians need to get behind this legislation of State Rep. Mike Pitts, H.R. 4501, and demand it's passage. which gives we the Citizens of S.C. a choice in what we will accept as compensation for our products and services.

Re: How do you like this Handout Design?

I like it! As you pointed out so well states rights isn't begging the federal courts for anything-it is laughing at those courts and telling them they have no more jurisdiction over the matter than Chinese courts. Then ignoring their "opinion" and continuing to enforce the state's law.
What does the State's constitution say about the issue? In my state (Missouri) our constitution actually says that the Missouri Supreme Court is the sole power to determine federal laws or treaties apply within the borders of our state-and yet our state's attorney general filed a lawsuit against Obamacare in Federal court instead of our state's supreme court...

Re: SC to nullify Federal gun regulations?

When it comes to Nullification, I don't think the feds will have much of a say, until it comes time to actually enforce their law. How do we go about nullifying unconstitutional amendments? Or, are amendments valid federal law simply because they are provided for in the constitution?

How can you amend the constitution to wipe out the compact between the general government and the several states, and still be left with a valid constitution?

I think these are critical issues in the nullification debate that must be solved or you are right, the federal government will simply pull the rug out from under us.

Re: Should we Embrace Nullification?

Tom, I support nullification to the fullest extent. It is the only valid action available to counteract the perceived supremacy of the supreme court and federal law. Nullification, however, must go hand in hand with a rejection of parts of the 14th and the entire language of the 16th and 17th Amendments. Nullification, without action on these amendments will end up costing us our financial freedom.
